Professor Mahdad Noursadeghi is a clinician scientist at UCL and consultant in Infectious Diseases at UCLH. He has a huge research portfolio, including extensive work in HIV and TB immunology.
He has recently put the majority of his usual work on hold in order to throw himself (and his laboratory) at the COVID 19 research effort.
We chat about COVID’s impact on science and the scientific community, some of the projects he’s involved in including ISARIC and PERISKOPE, and the potential implications of this disease for TB and HIV hotspots.
